Cool Site - The
Village Wallpaper Store
I went in search of information on embossed wallpaper, also known as "paintable
whites." Although I did not find much on the web, (I hope to cover this topic in a
later tip), I did find a cool site for wallpaper, in general. It is called "The Village Wallpaper Store."
Features of the site include:
1. Wallpaper: It's Not Just Paper Anymore - A glossary to wall covering terms.
2. Think Like A Designer - A great list of different ways to use wallpaper borders.
3. 500 Years of Wallpaper - The history of wallpaper.
4. Product Search - Best of all! An interactive search format that helps you find specific
wallpapers, borders and fabrics.
Although you can't buy the materials online there is a "Store Locator." (See the
bottom left margin of the web page for the link.) Enter your zip code, or city and state,
and travel distance, and the search results will supply you with a list of locations where
you may find the products you're interested in.
